We are looking for rope access technicians to fill full-time positions in building cleaning and maintenance:

Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing Technician:

• Window cleaning via rope access
• Exterior building pressure washing
• Post construction window cleaning

Building Envelope Maintenance Technician:

• Building inspections & reports
• Leak investigations
• Exterior sealant repairs
• Building envelope restoration

Job Description:

• Rope access to hard to reach areas without scaffold or a work platform
• Descend, ascend and transverse ropes for access and work while suspend by harness
• Perform duties such as inspections, painting touch ups, washing windows, pressure washing, water proofing, caulking and other kinds of work at height or high angle.
• Perform minor repair/ maintenance activities at height or high angle
• Communicate effectively with customers and manager to maintain consistent work flow and customer’s satisfaction
• Follow established safety rules and instructions

Requirements and qualifications:

• Work experience is desirable, but training can be provided to the right candidate
• Level 1-3 IRATA or SPRAT
• Not afraid of heights and able to work on ladders and suspended stages
• Enthusiasm and decent work attitude
• Valid BC driver’s license is an asset, but not required
• Must be able to work while suspended in harness for extended periods of time
• Be capable of functioning in climatic extremes
• Criminal record check will be done

Compensation:

Window cleaning: $26-35 depending on certification level and experience and monthly bonuses for completed jobs in previous month

Building Envelope Maintenance: $26-35 depending on certification level and experience

Job Description:

• Measure, order, cut, shape, assemble and join materials
• Fit and install trim items such as windows, doors, stairs, decks, flashings and hardware
• Complete framing repairs for wood frame constructed buildings
• Maintain and repair exterior building envelope
• Repair or install new roofing materials including torch-on, shingles, sheet and liquid membrane
• Supervise apprentices and laborer’s

Requirements and qualifications:

• 2 years of restoration and carpentry experience

Job Description:

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle, scaffolding, ramps, shoring and barricades required at job site
• Mix, pour and install materials such as concrete, membrane, and etc.
• Assist carpenter with wood frame restoration, stucco restoration, sheet metal work
• Operate power tools
• Remove debris at construction sites

Requirements and qualifications:

• Carpentry training Level 1
